Who is Capital Access Alliance?

Our goal is simple: to advocating for additional direct flights to and from Ronald Reagan Washington National Airport (DCA).

  • DCA was the only airport in the country that was subject to an outdated, federally-imposed perimeter rule, which restricted airlines from flying beyond 1,250 miles of DCA with very few exceptions.
  • Air traffic had increased 10-fold within the last 60 years. The perimeter rule wasn’t fit for today’s air travel ecosystem in Washington, D.C.
  • We improved access to and from our nation’s capital which will continue to make air travel more affordable and efficient, create thousands of jobs and generate millions of dollars in tax revenue.
